Working with the MSP dashboard

David Starr

Spot at-risk customers and act on their pending requests without opening each Workspace one by one.

The MSP Dashboard is the landing page for Managed Services Providers. Open it from the Workspace picker at the top of the Workbrew Console sidebar by choosing Managed Services, or navigate directly to https://console.workbrew.com/partners/<partner-name>/dashboard.

Reviewing vulnerabilities

Under All Customers, a vulnerability banner shows the open vulnerability count across all of the partner's customers, how many customers are affected, and how many vulnerabilities your team has already resolved, with a link to review the affected customers you can access. Partner admins see all managed Workspaces. Partner members see only the Workspaces they have been granted access to, though the vulnerability banner's totals always cover the whole partner.

In the My Customers section, team admins and members can get a quick view of:

  • Package Requests, pending self-service package requests awaiting review
  • Policy Violations, packages that violate one or more Workspace Policies
  • Outdated Packages, installed packages behind the most recent release version
  • Outdated Devices, Devices running an outdated version of the Workbrew Agent

To filter for a specific customer, use the customer dropdown on the right of the tab bar. It narrows every tab to that customer's requests, violations, packages, and Devices.

Taking actions directly

Clicking a customer Workspace name opens that Workspace's own Dashboard. Some notices can also be acted on directly from the MSP Dashboard.

  • Package Requests: the Review button on each row opens the request in the customer Workspace. From there you approve it, choosing an approval scope (all Devices or one Device Group), or deny it with a reason.
  • Policy Violations: the Uninstall button on each row opens a new Brew Command in the customer Workspace, pre-filled with the uninstall command and the Devices in violation, ready to review and run.
  • Outdated Packages is view-only here. Each customer name links to that Workspace's own Dashboard, where the same tab has an Upgrade button per package.
  • Outdated Devices is view-only here. The View button opens the Device's page in the customer Workspace.

Every action runs inside the customer Workspace with the role you hold there (see Working with role-based access control (RBAC)). Approving requests and running Brew Commands requires at least write access to that Workspace.
