Updatest joins Workbrew
John Britton & Jared Mariash
Updatest, the app for individuals and families to keep all their Mac software up to date, joins Workbrew as part of Workbrew 2.0.
Workbrew's mission is to help every developer, creative, and builder get the tools they need to do their best work, in a safe and secure environment. For IT teams, this means managing package managers such as Homebrew, npm, and VS Code extensions to mitigate vulnerabilities and stay compliant.

The Updatest team set out to fix a similar challenge for individuals and families, simplifying Mac updates from Homebrew, The Mac App Store, Sparkle, GitHub, and Electron - all backed by the Updatest Network that discovers new software releases automatically and privately.
Workbrew and Updatest share a belief that everyone, regardless of technical expertise, should be able to discover, explore, and use software easily and securely. That shared vision brought Updatest to Workbrew. The new Workbrew app, built natively for macOS in Swift, brings this vision to life by making it easy for anyone at work to discover, install, update, and request software securely as part of Workbrew 2.0.
Updatest remains available for individuals and families who manage their own Macs, and the app, previously a paid download, is now free. For those who want extended version detection and updates, the Updatest Network is out of beta and available as a paid upgrade. Updatest Enterprise is being retired; now it's easier than ever to get started with the right Workbrew plan for teams, businesses, and enterprises.
