Workbrew’s mission is to make all the world’s software discoverable and instantly available to everyone. Our customers, IT administrators, use Workbrew to promote their security posture and enable tool choice in their organizations.

Our fully-remote team is spread across North America, Europe, and Asia, and includes alumni of remote-first organizations like 37Signals and GitHub. There is no “HQ” and we have no plans to open one.

You can read more about our philosophy and values here.

About the role

We are hiring for a Solutions Engineer to help customers succeed with Workbrew. One part product educator, one part technical consultant, you’ll help organizations understand the value we deliver, design integrations, and solve complex technical problems that stand in the way of rollout.

This is a full-time role, reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering.

In this role, you will

  • Serve as the technical partner to new and existing customers—during evaluations, onboarding, and renewals.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations, especially to technical audiences (IT, SecOps, Infrastructure).
  • Help implement and troubleshoot integrations with MDMs, CI/CD pipelines, identity providers, and internal developer tooling.
  • Travel (up to 50%) to meet strategic customers and attend industry events.

The Solutions Engineer will likely:

  • Use your technical expertise to develop custom solutions to suit the needs of our customers – whether it’s through the Workbrew API, writing custom scripts, or helping with their integrations. And if you want to open source those? Even better.
  • Collaborate with Workbrew’s product engineering team as the voice of the customer, to reproduce bugs, escalate issues, and document common solutions.
  • Contribute to improving our documentation, onboarding experience, and internal support workflows to scale customer success.
  • Build a library of technical sales materials that unblock customers and extend Workbrew’s utility.
  • Provide field feedback that directly shapes our product roadmap.

Success in this role looks like

  • Number of demonstrations that convert to customer pilots.
  • Number of pilots that convert to annual agreements with customers.
  • Leads generated by field marketing events.

The toolset/stack for this role includes:

  • GitHub - Workbrew’s founders are former GitHubbers, and we support open source.
  • MDMs - A working knowledge of each toolset.
  • Homebrew - Understand how powerful brew is for enterprises and provide best practices.
  • Pipedrive - Our CRM.

Requirements (you need all of these)

  • You have at least 5 years professional, full-time experience working in a customer-facing role such as a Consulting Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Engineer
  • You are an expert in the packagement management lifecycle, including Homebrew
  • You have worked at an early-stage technology company previously, bonus points if on a remote, timezone-distributed team before
  • You have a keen sense of persuasion and influence amongst technical and non-technical decision-makers

Benefits

For full-time employees, we offer:

  • Unlimited PTO: We care about outcomes, not hours.

  • Mac hardware: you are welcome to bring your own device if you like, otherwise Workbrew will provide an Apple laptop.
