Workbrew is a secure software delivery platform that serves IT administrators, security professionals, and MacAdmins managing complex, global fleets. We started by building the features that companies need on top of Homebrew, the most popular package manager on macOS. Since launching in November 2024, Workbrew has grown quickly, garnering a long waitlist of technical teams looking for hands-on support.
đź’Ą Why Workbrew Needs You
We’re making our first Solutions Engineer hires, so you’ll play a key role in helping customers succeed with Workbrew—pre-sale, during onboarding, post-sale, and long after the ink is dry. One part product educator, one part technical consultant, you’ll help organizations understand the value we deliver, design integrations, and solve complex technical problems that stand in the way of rollout.
This role reports to the Lead Account Executive, and is ideal for someone excited to work closely with customers, with enough technical horsepower to bridge between product, sales, and engineering.
✨ Here’s what you’ll do:
- Serve as the technical partner to new and existing customers—during evaluations, onboarding, and renewals.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations, especially to technical audiences (IT, SecOps, Infrastructure).
- Help implement and troubleshoot integrations with MDMs, CI/CD pipelines, identity providers, and internal developer tooling.
- Use your technical expertise to develop custom solutions to suit the needs of our customers – whether it’s through the Workbrew API, writing custom scripts, or helping with their integrations. And if you want to open source those? Even better.
- Collaborate with Workbrew’s product engineering team as the voice of the customer, to reproduce bugs, escalate issues, and document common solutions.
- Contribute to improving our documentation, onboarding experience, and internal support workflows to scale customer success.
- Build a library of technical sales materials that unblock customers and extend Workbrew’s utility.
- Provide field feedback that directly shapes our product roadmap.
- Travel (up to 50%) to meet strategic customers and attend industry events.
🧠Requirements (you need all of these):
- You have 5+ years of experience in technical roles like solutions engineering, sales engineering, professional services, or support engineering in a B2B SaaS or devtools company.
- You're personable, emotionally intelligent, and collaborative. You demonstrate poise with enterprise customers, know when to exert influence, and can strategically navigate conversations across technical and executive stakeholders.
- You’ve worked with or sold to IT, security, or engineering teams, especially in the Apple ecosystem.
- You’re comfortable at the command line, and have written or supported CLI tools.
- You’re confident writing small scripts (e.g. Bash, Python, Ruby) to support customers.
- You’ve worked remotely and on a timezone-distributed team.
- You’re highly independent and can identify ways to make yourself and others more effective.
- You’re motivated by solving real customer problems.
👍 Nice-to-haves (you do not need any of these):
- Experience managing a Homebrew across a large organization.
- Prior experience integrating MDMs (Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle, etc.).
- Familiarity with enterprise authentication (SSO, SCIM, etc.).
- You've worked at an early-stage startup.
