Technical Account Manager at Workbrew

Technical Account Manager at Workbrew

Remote: (almost) anywhere

$50k - $200k USD (paid in local currency)

At Workbrew we are building the features that companies need on top of Homebrew, the most popular package manager on macOS (and growing on Linux). Workbrew provides commercial support and MDM integration and will in future provide many other features around Homebrew needed by the enterprise.

Why Workbrew Needs [You]

Our product improves the lives of IT administrators, MacAdmins, and security professionals in companies large and small. We launched our beta in August of 2024 with a free plan, self-serve per-device pricing, as well as our enterprise offering. Our list of customers grows weekly, and we’re getting featured in exciting outlets like The Next Web and Tech Informed.

We’ve set our 2025 revenue goals and need your help to get there: we have a list of target customers, an expanding user base, and an ambitious product roadmap. We can get there with your help. Come help us work the pipeline and proactively pursue new opportunities.

This role is the first Sales hire, and will report directly to the cofounder/CEO. Here’s an overview of your responsibilities:

  • Drive the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closed deal, with support and guidance from the CEO.

  • Diligently search for promising leads and engage with new prospects.

  • Actively update our sales system with the latest intelligence you gather.

  • Use a variety of tools and channels to create meaningful conversations with potential customers.

  • Nurture leads as their budgets and decision-making inflection points occur.

  • Deliver compelling technical product demonstrations.

  • Act quickly to serve contacts as they feel the pain Workbrew is solving to ensure best results.

  • Produce persuasive and tailored sales presentations and materials to anchor successful conversations.

Working at Workbrew

Our approach: At Workbrew we work hard but (usually) not long. We value getting things done quickly so we can spend time with our friends, family and pursue our hobbies. We know that “time spent working” is an exceptionally poor metric for output, happiness or success. You can read more about our philosophy and values here

Workbrew is a remote-first company: Our team is spread across North America, Europe, and Asia, and the cofounders have been working remotely for a total of 30 years. There is no “HQ” and we have no plans to open one. When a meeting can instead be a document, pull request or a Slack message: it is. That does not mean we expect you to be “always on” – one of our values is “balance” and we mean it.

Expectations for travel: In our experience, humans like meeting other humans in person. It helps us bond and work better together. Additionally, this role will include up to 25% travel to meet with customers at their location and at industry events.

Requirements (you need all of these)
  • You’ve managed enterprise accounts in a B2B SaaS environment, and routinely obtained your sales goals (5-10 years experience)

  • You can articulate product value in a compelling way to decision-makers at all levels of an enterprise.

  • You have a deep interest and knowledge of developer tools, IT, and Security space.

  • You are a natural negotiator and have a win/win approach to those conversations.

  • You’re curious and fearless in the face of challenges.

Nice-to-haves (you do not need any of these)
  • You’ve driven early sales processes before.

  • You have sold technical products to Engineering, IT, and or Security leaders

  • You have worked remotely.

  • You have worked on a timezone-distributed team.

Benefits
  • The starting pay (on-target earnings) for this role is between $50k - $200k USD (paid in your local currency, through Deel, if outside the US).

  • If employed full-time:

    • A generous equity package

    • We provide flexible paid leave. Everyone is expected to take at least 20 days off a year (or your country’s legal minimum). 40 paid vacation days off a year is too many.

    • Paid travel, accommodation and (pre-agreed) expenses to meet coworkers in person a couple of times a year.

  • You can do your work from different places around the world (as long as you get your job done and show up for meetings at the right times).

  • If there’s something else you really want that we’ve not mentioned: please ask. We’re a small, early-stage company so are willing to be flexible and work with you to hire exceptional people like you.

Workbrew is an equal opportunity employer. We make all employment decisions including hiring, evaluation, termination, promotional, and training opportunities, without regard to race, religion, skin colour, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, physical handicap, mental disability, medical condition, disability, gender or identity or expression, political affiliation or beliefs (within democratic norms) pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition, marital status, height and/or weight.

We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation.

If you have read to this point and you doubt if you are qualified: please apply anyway.
